CNN’s Don Lemon defends questioning Karine Jean-Pierre about Biden’s mental fitness: ‘It’s our job’

CNN host Don Lemon joined “New Day” on Wednesday to discuss his job interview with White House Push Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre the former evening, all through which she criticized his questioning. 

Jean-Pierre laughed off a question from Lemon about Biden’s psychological conditioning amid reporting from The New York Instances about members of the Democratic Get together possessing problems about Biden’s management capability. 

Lemon claimed it was his position to inquire these thoughts and Jean-Pierre’s occupation to respond to these varieties of questions as a spokesperson for the administration.

He mentioned that the president is a “nice male” but he is heading to be 80-years-outdated and as a man in his 50s, Lemon himself has “issues recalling matters.” 

“I’m not as sharp as I applied to be. And the career of President of the United States is a seriously, seriously tough position,” Lemon claimed. “I am confident he’s up to the career, but it is my occupation as a journalist to question.” 

Lemon stated that Biden’s responses for the duration of interviews were being not “succinct” and that “he has difficulties at times connecting and his answers in some cases do not make sense.”
