How The Rug Swap Started off

This story starts with me checking out my mate Meg’s home. She had the most wonderful coral and blue rug that she had just acquired for her dwelling room from Wayfair. I admired it and started wondering if we really should do a little something with our living home rug. 

Spoiler warn: I bought it!

Ahead of: The Pottery Barn Chunky Wool + Jute Rug

I Adore this Chunky Wool / Jute Rug from Pottery Barn! It’s so gentle, cushiony, and tremendous duper cozy. I also enjoy pure fabrics and neutral shades. 

I’ve had it for above 7 many years and it’s held up very well provided the quantity of site visitors and dress in and tear it has witnessed. 

I’ve rotated it about so the portion below the sofa arrives out and vice versa. 

Nevertheless, Gus the pet spends all day, just about every working day on this rug, and when I took it to Charlottesville Earthly Cleaners, I explained to them it was built of 90% canine hair and 10% wool. Critically, you just cannot sit on it with out receiving included in hair (and indeed that is with regular vacuums).

This is a good rug, but I would not propose it for living rooms. 

I understood when I visited my sister’s residence that it is an best rug for a bed room. She has the rug in her playroom and I could not believe that it was the similar one particular since hers is in these wonderful condition (it’s admittedly also more recent than mine).

Pottery Barn –> Mazen’s Room

I regarded as donating the Pottery Barn rug for the reason that I didn’t have a further home for it. Right up until I had the notion to go it into Mazen’s space when traveling to my sister.

You can see a handful of tufts sticking up, but in general it’s in fantastic shape. A new daily life!

Mazen’s Rug –> Birch’s Room

Here’s the rug that has been in Birch’s room considering the fact that we embellished his nursery. 

It was in Thomas’s outdated residence. I like the rug, having said that, the hues do not truly go with our home’s lighter, airier model. 

We are finding a new residence for the oriental and brought in Mazen’s blue “Positive” rug.

We are almost ready to move Birch’s toddler mattress / crib and rocking chair out, changeover his switching desk to a dresser, and go whole on Massive Boy Home. He will have so substantially far more area in there when we do! 

Entry Rug

The past rug in this post is our entry rug. This was once Karen’s, and she had it minimize down. It is seagrass? Sisal? And it is on the lookout pretty rough and torn in places. 

I can’t come to a decision if we even will need a rug in our mudroom, but I feel it does assist with kicking grime off of shoes when folks fail to remember to just take them off. 

This place could possibly change…
