My Favorite Low Carb Recipes for weight loss

A low carb way of eating is a great way to lose weight.  If you’re on the The 17 Day Diet, my top favorite recipes are a must-try!

Most, if not all, are extremely family friendly, so if you have kids or a partner who are not on a diet, you can easily convince them that these dishes should be added to your dinner rotation!

Over the years, I’ve created a TON of yummy recipes that help people with their health and wellness goals, and I want to share my very Favorite Low Carb Recipes for Weight Loss, especially when using the 17 Day Diet as a means to reach your goals.

All of these can be used for all cycles of the 17 Day Diet, certain phases of the 17 Day Kickstart Diet, and a Keto Diet (some do require a few small tweaks to make 100% compliant).

If you’re on another type of low carb diet not listed above, chances are these recipes are for you, too!

At the very end, I’ll recap my favorite low carb recipes in one convenient list with links to each recipe.

Green Chili Chicken Enchilada With Cauliflower

My Green Chili Chicken Enchilada with Cauliflower recipe is by far my all-time favorite recipe!

This is a monthly staple in my house, even for my partner who is NOT on a diet (it’s one of his favorite dishes, too!).

This cheesy goodness of a dinner recipe is approved for all cycles of the 17 Day Diet. If you’re not aware that cheese is allowed on the 17 Day Diet, make sure you read up because it is (in moderation, of course).

A few tweaks to this recipe and it is also approved for the 10-Day Stabilize Phase of the 17 Day Kickstart Diet as well as a Keto Diet.

I have suggestions in the recipe card itself on how you make this dish compliant for each low carb diet.

Chicken and Broccoli Bake

This is another fan favorite and one of my favorites, too! My Chicken and Broccoli Bake is super simple to make.

It’s basically chicken, broccoli, some herbs, a few types of cheese and a few other ingredients for an easy dinner to whip up for the entire family!

My Chicken and Broccoli Bake is approved for all cycles of the 17 Day Diet.

With a few changes, it’s also approved for the 10-Day Stabilize Phase of the 17 Day Kickstart Diet as well a Keto Diet.

The beauty of this particular recipe is that in addition to being low carb for weight loss, it’s also very family friendly so you only need to make one meal (this one) for the entire family!

Lemony Chicken and Kale Detox Soup

This Lemony Chicken and Kale Detox Soup is soooo yummy! I originally created it for my Spring meal plan, but it’s a soup that can be literally eaten year-round!

If you’re not a fan of kale, you could use spinach in its place. However, you ought to give kale a shot because it adds such a great texture to this soup.

Another thing I love about this recipe is the freshness of the lemon juice – it provides a great brightness to the soup.

This recipe is also approved for the 17 Day Kickstart Diet starting on the 4-Day Soak Up Phase. If you want to use it sooner, then omit the carrots as they’re not allowed in the first three days.

As far using this in a Keto Diet, if you’re not overly concerned about the higher carb content of carrots and onions, then this recipe is good to go for you! However, you can always omit or limit them if you’re concerned.

Tuna Cakes with Lemon Dijon Sauce

My Tuna Cakes with Lemon Dijon Sauce is probably my #1 most popular recipe on my blog of all time!

It’s such a fan favorite that this recipe makes my list of My Top 10 Most Popular Recipes for the 17 Day Diet.

If you’re not a fan of tuna, there’s hope for you! Simply use your favorite canned meat in its place!

I personally think the star of the recipe is the Lemon Dijon Sauce! It’s truly outstanding.

I made the sauce a bit on the tart side because that’s my preference. However, you can tame it down by using less lemon!

This recipe is approved for all cycles of the 17 Day Diet.

Starting on the 10-Day Stabilize phase of the 17 Day Kickstart Diet is when this recipe is allowed when eggs, cheese and certain dairy products are all approved for use.

On a Keto Diet? No problem! You can use this recipe as-is, or you can also simply use full-fat sour cream instead of Greek Yogurt if you choose.

Chicken Lombardy

This Chicken Lombardy is also on a semi-regular rotation in my house.

My partner also loves this and he’s not even trying to lose weight!

My Low Carb Chicken Lombardy doesn’t contain any wine like a traditional recipe might, but it does contain all the other key flavors!

Luckily, it’s approved for all cycles of the 17 Day Diet, so you can eat this right out of the gate!

If you’re on the 17 Day Kickstart Diet, this recipe would be allowed starting in the 10-Day Stabilize Phase with a minor change to the type of cheese you’d use.

If you’re on a Keto Diet, this recipe is good to go! However, if you’re overly concerned about the amount of extra carbs in onions, you can simply omit or use less.

Chicken Cabbage & Broccoli Stir Fry

My Chicken Cabbage & Broccoli Stir Fry is loosely based on another fan favorite, Egg Roll in a Bowl a la Judy.

This stir fry recipe was originally created for my Spring Cleanse Meal Plan to help you detox, but it can be eaten year-round!

It’s filled with fresh vegetables that are nutrient dense, lean protein and a few enhancements to give it a boost in flavor!

I always say this recipe is a perfect lunch because it is easily reheated. Plus, you can always add more cabbage in your leftovers to give it a much-needed fresh, crunchy texture!

This recipe is perfect for all cycles of the 17 Day Diet.

If you’re on the 17 Day Kickstart Diet, it’s approved for all phases, so make sure you use this in your meal rotation straight away!

If you happen to be losing weight on a Keto Diet, this stir fry can also be used as-is. All the fiber-rich vegetables balance out the natural carbs in the veggies.

If you’re overly concerned about a higher carb count for onions, simply use less or omit them all together!
